DEAKIN University has reaffirmed its position in the top one per cent of universities worldwide according to the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings.<\/p>\n
The university has climbed up 12 places from 277th to 265th and achieved its best World University Rankings result in its history.<\/p>\n
The prestigious THE World University Rankings measure universities across five performances indicators including teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook and industry.<\/p>\n
Deakin’s rise in the rankings continues its positive trend in recent years, with an overall increase of 68 places since 2020.<\/p>\n
Deakin vice-chancellor Professor Iain Martin congratulated the Deakin community on its achievement.<\/p>\n
“As we approach our 50th anniversary at the end of 2024, I am pleased that Deakin’s progress and leadership continue to be recognised on a global stage.<\/p>\n
“Rankings never tell the whole story but are an essential guide, and our progress shows we are on the right track.<\/p>\n
“What we do matters to our students, our local communities, and Australia.<\/p>\n
“We have made extraordinary progress in our comparatively short life and remain focused on driving a culture of innovation, creativity and excellence while staying true to our founding values of inclusion and access to education.”<\/p>\n
At a national level Deakin is ranked 17th among Australian universities, an increase one place from its 2022 placing.<\/p>\n
For a thirteenth year, Deakin also holds the total of being number in overall student satisfaction in Victoria and is one of the top universities in the country on this measure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
