AUSTRALIA’S biggest mental health fitness event is gearing up for its 2024 edition and calling upon local students to become ambassadors.<\/p>\n

The Push-Up Challenge, which recently engaged a staggering 215,000 participants and raised over $14.7 million for mental health charities, is on the lookout for passionate students who want to make a difference in their communities.<\/p>\n

Student Ambassadors for 2024 will be at the forefront of motivating their schoolmates, teachers, and school communities to participate in The Push-Up Challenge, promoting physical fitness and raising awareness about mental health.<\/p>\n

Ambassadors will receive comprehensive training, equipping them with the necessary skills and mental health knowledge to lead the program successfully within their schools.<\/p>\n

The Push-Up Challenge founder Nick Hudson said the experience was both educational and meaningful.<\/p>\n

“Students and school groups are some of our most passionate participants because they care wholeheartedly about learning about mental health and coming together to achieve a common goal.”<\/p>\n

In 2024, The Push-Up Challenge will span three weeks, with participants collectively completing 3,249 push-ups. The number symbolises the tragic lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2022.<\/p>\n

Since its inception in 2017, The Push-Up Challenge has grown to become Australia’s largest mental health fitness event, raising over $40 million and engaging over 400,000 people.<\/p>\n

It aims to promote mental health awareness, foster a sense of unity, and contribute to early intervention and prevention of depression, anxiety, and suicide.<\/p>\n
