BARWON Health Foundation’s single biggest fundraising activity in its 21-year history is underway.<\/p>\n

The blueprint of the House4Health, which is a four-bedroom Hamlan Home on O’Halloran’s Road in Lara is dug out and ready for construction.<\/p>\n

All proceeds from the sale of the finished product will support the health of local families living in Greater Geelong.<\/p>\n

Many local businesses, trades, suppliers and community groups have already jumped on board to help deliver the family home, which will be auctioned off in mid-2024.<\/p>\n

The giving was kickstarted by a kind donation of a block of land from Lara Lakes Estate, valued at $400,000.<\/p>\n

Lara West director Lino Bisinella said he was inspired to gift the property, as a means of giving back to the community.<\/p>\n

“It’s exciting to see construction works officially commence on this project that will support healthier futures for Geelong residents, especially those living in the northern suburbs.”<\/p>\n

Barwon Health Foundation executive director, Zoe Walters said the project would unite the Greater Geelong community in providing locals with access to great healthcare.<\/p>\n

“100 per cent of the sale price of this luxury home, in a sought- after estate, will stay right here in Geelong, supporting the wonderful work of Barwon Health in our community.<\/p>\n

“Our goal is to keep the project’s costs \u2013 through discount and donations of goods and services, as well as philanthropist support \u2013 as close to neutral as possible.”<\/p>\n

“We’re so appreciative of the support we have already received from companies like Bisinella properties, Hamlan Homes and PJT McMahon Excavations to get the project to this stage.<\/p>\n

“What’s to come will be an exciting large-scale community fundraiser and a beautiful home ready for one lucky family.”<\/p>\n

House4Health is located at Lara Lakes at the top of the Lara West Growth Area and borders the existing township.<\/p>\n
