THE BELLARINE Storm senior women’s team will be moving up into the Championship Women’s competition in 2024.<\/p>\n

The move is seen as a “vote in confidence” in the continued development of the senior Big V program and women’s team.<\/p>\n

Bellarine Storm finished the 2023 season as runners-up to Warrnambool in Division One Women.<\/p>\n

Club general manager and assistant coach Aaron Lothian said it was an incredible outcome for the club.<\/p>\n

“It is exciting for our club that our Women’s team will join our Senior Men’s team in Championship Division.<\/p>\n

“To the players, coaches and management, it is a reward for a very successful 2023 campaign.”<\/p>\n

Bellarine Storm will play off against teams including Bulleen, Camberwell, Pakenham, Sherbrooke, McKinnon and Wyndham in the 2024 Championship Women division.<\/p>\n

Tim Sanderson will return in 2024 to coach the senior women’s team in their Championship Women’s Division debut season.<\/p>\n

“It’s a really great opportunity for us to really test ourselves against some of these best sides,” Sanderson said.<\/p>\n

“We’ve just come off a great season and are hopeful of continuing with our momentum in 2024.”<\/p>\n
