MCCARTNEY Real Estate directors Tim Carson and John McMahon have had a red-hot run over the past few weeks, with some exceptional back-to-back sales results.<\/p>\n
On the back of the sale of a vacant lot at 6 The Esplanade, Torquay that went for $2.2 million Tim has also sold 249 Gherang Road for $1.025 million; 28 Beales Street, Torquay for $865,000; 6 Jordyn Close, Winchelsea for $122,500; and 2\/221 The Esplanade, Torquay for $875,000.<\/p>\n
Mr McMahon sold an acreage lot at 65 South Beach Road for $840,000, while they earlier sold three properties prior to auction at 6 Dandy Court, Jan Juc; 9 Grange Crescent, Torquay; and 66 Beach Road, Torquay.<\/p>\n
At McCartney\u2019s Winchelsea agency, Geoff Bennett had a successful auction of 5 McDonald Drive, which sold for $426,500 after a lot of inquiries.<\/p>\n
Mr McMahon said that there was a high demand for property in their catchment at the moment.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat a magnificent market we find ourselves in; I haven\u2019t encountered a market this strong in all my time in real estate.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe whole spectrum of the market has seen incredible growth, from land sales to lifestyle homes, the market continues on an upward trend and doesn\u2019t seem to show any signs of slowing.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd as history has told us, once the market cools, it plateaus and doesn\u2019t recede, which is great news for all investors who think they may have missed their opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n
McCartney have also been achieving great results at auction, with Old Torquay producing some exceptional results.<\/p>\n
Recently, an auction of an older style home at 48 Bristol Road saw the property achieve an impressive $1.555 million.<\/p>\n
Mr Carson that the interest in the Old Torquay home had been terrific.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere had been close to 100 people inspecting the property during the auction campaign,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe expected price range was $1.3 million to $1.4 million with the property selling under the hammer for $1.555 million to a local person who will use the property as a holiday home.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith two people missing out on this property, and some interested parties not even getting a chance to put their hand up, we have buyers in the ready for this market space.<\/p>\n
