{"id":80267,"date":"2024-01-14T04:00:21","date_gmt":"2024-01-13T17:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=80267"},"modified":"2024-01-14T04:00:21","modified_gmt":"2024-01-13T17:00:21","slug":"lonny-to-light-up-for-lighthouse-party","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/lonny-to-light-up-for-lighthouse-party\/","title":{"rendered":"Lonny to light up for Lighthouse Party"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The picturesque surrounds of the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse Reserve will again be the backdrop for one of the Borough&#8217;s best local grassroots music events this February.<\/p>\n<p>Point Lonsdale Boardriders Club&#8217;s Lighthouse Party festival returns on February 10 and is slated to be a fun day of non-stop entertainment for both the younger and older generations.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_125066\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-125066\" style=\"width: 602px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-125066 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/23-10-21_SXSW_JACK_MORAN_IMG_7285-scaled.jpg?_t=1704845626\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"401\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-125066\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Post punk quartet Radio Free Alice will be lighting up the stage on February 10.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The music event is the club&#8217;s biggest annual fundraiser and will raise vital funds to run water and power to its clubhouse facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The event will feature hours of live entertainment, with Australian indie rockers Scott and Charlene&#8217;s Wedding, post punk quartet Radio Free Alice, Baby Blue, Flesh Cherub and DJ extraordinaries Milo Eastwood, Ollie Holmes and Matteo all on the event bill.<\/p>\n<p>Food trucks and beverage vendors will also be on hand to whet the appetite.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_125067\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-125067\" style=\"width: 499px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-125067 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/Frame-16-scaled.jpg?_t=1704845653\" alt=\"\" width=\"499\" height=\"499\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-125067\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Lighthouse Party is staged under the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Point Lonsdale Boardriders Club president Max Lazarus said tickets were selling like hot cakes for the club&#8217;s biggest annual fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We can&#8217;t wait to have a boogie and return for our fifth anniversary of this great community event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The event provides a great cash injection for the club and will no doubt help us to increase our offering to the community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve got the best location, and the best music, so it&#8217;s certainly going to be a cracker and something our younger generations, and older demographic can get around.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_125065\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-125065\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-125065 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/dfggfdgfdgdf.png?_t=1704845586\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"421\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-125065\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">DJ groovemaster Milo Eastwood will sling some tracks at the 2024 Lighthouse Party.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Lazarus said additional funds may also be directed toward keeping the club&#8217;s membership fees as low as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have relatively low joining fees, which are in part due to our ability to fundraise at events like this one,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We also use some of it to buy pizzas and food for our judges at our events, and to enter teams&#8217; titles events which help to grow the club.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;An event like the Lighthouse Party gives us the freedom to explore and spend where we see fit so we can benefit the community in as many ways as possible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tickets to the Lighthouse Party can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com.au\/e\/point-lonsdale-lighthouse-party-10th-feb-18-tickets-769575289407?aff=oddtdtcreator&amp;fbclid=IwAR099iRELfY0C3jpnRajfYBNZg19GTTSrOry1i1Arv1xMmCaBwIDkT03ULc\">Eventbrite.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The picturesque surrounds of the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse Reserve will again be the backdrop for one of the Borough&#8217;s best local grassroots music events this February.
