{"id":81672,"date":"2024-02-09T04:00:52","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T17:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=81672"},"modified":"2024-02-09T16:20:02","modified_gmt":"2024-02-09T05:20:02","slug":"redevelopment-complete-at-barwon-heads-bowling-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/redevelopment-complete-at-barwon-heads-bowling-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Redevelopment complete at Barwon Heads Bowling Club"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A NEW chapter is beginning for Barwon Heads Bowling Club, with the club&#8217;s redeveloped pavilion to be officially opened today (Friday, February 9).<\/p>\n<p>Club members and local, state, and federal government representatives will be in attendance today to open the club&#8217;s $1.2 million clubhouse on the corner of Geelong and Sheepwash Road.<\/p>\n<p>Barwon Heads Bowling Club president Lawrie Stendt said the club was extremely excited to officially open the new pavilion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Former president Ken Allen really pushed the barrel for the club when it came to getting this project off the ground.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a beautiful, new building and it really opens up a lot of avenues for the club socially and we are looking forward to welcoming the community to make use of it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re extremely grateful for the commitment made by both the council and the state and federal government;
