{"id":81796,"date":"2024-02-11T11:00:55","date_gmt":"2024-02-11T00:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/extra-public-transport-locked-for-taylor-swift-concerts\/"},"modified":"2024-02-11T11:33:57","modified_gmt":"2024-02-11T00:33:57","slug":"extra-public-transport-locked-for-taylor-swift-concerts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/extra-public-transport-locked-for-taylor-swift-concerts\/","title":{"rendered":"Extra public transport locked in for Taylor Swift concerts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"elementToProof\">SWIFTIES around Victoria can look forward to additional public transport options when Taylor Swift arrives in Melbourne in five days&#8217; time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"elementToProof\">The Victorian government announced this morning (Sunday, February 11) hundreds of additional train services will be run between Friday, February 16 and Sunday, February 18 in anticipation of Taylor Swift\u2019s three concerts at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) as part of The Eras Tour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"elementToProof\">Extra capacity has been added across all regional lines with additional V\/Line train services put in place before and after each show on the Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, Traralgon, and Seymour lines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"elementToProof\">\u201cTaylor Swift\u2019s biggest ever Australian shows will have the same impact on the transport network as three AFL grand finals back-to-back \u2013 that\u2019s why we\u2019re encouraging everyone attending to plan ahead and take public transport to get to the \u2018G,\u201d Minister for Active and Public Transport Gabrielle Williams said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"elementToProof\">For those travelling by vehicle, Wurundjeri Way remains closed in both directions between Dudley and Bourke Street as part of the ongoing West Gate Tunnel project works.<\/p>\n<p class=\"elementToProof\">Footscray Road also remains closed westbound between Docklands Drive and Waterfront Way.
