WITH Leopold\u2019s annual Kid\u2019s Day Out not going ahead this year, the Leopold Bendigo Bank Community Branch has donated funds in lieu to the Barwon Health Foundation Kids Appeal.<\/p>\n
Leopold Community Enterprises chairperson Lily Reinert said the appeal was raising funds for a brand new rehabilitation centre at Grace McKellar for the Geelong and surrounding communities\u2019 children and youth.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis exciting new project will only be possible with local support and will be fully funded by the community,\u201d Ms Reinert said.<\/p>\n
\u201cGiven we could not support the Leopold Kid\u2019s Day out event for different reasons this year, we see this appeal as equally important on a local basis, therefore we were happy to contribute to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
A presentation was held at the Grace McKellar centre, where Ms Reinert, on behalf of the company donated $2,500 towards the appeal.<\/p>\n
