QUEENSCLIFF children’s charity Cottage by the Sea hope to harness the full generosity of the community on Tuesday, March 5 for its annual Giving Day.<\/p>\n

All funds raised will help the cottage to support and enhance the lives of some of Victoria’s most disadvantaged children and families and offer them fun, laughter and hope within a holiday environment.<\/p>\n

Locals can support the cause predominantly through team fundraising with their family, friends and colleagues.<\/p>\n

Fundraising is now open and will stay open until Tuesday next week.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Cottage by the Sea chief executive officer Adam Wake said without government funding, Cottage needs the generosity of the community to maintain its high-quality programs.<\/p>\n

“Last year, we had so much success from Giving Day thanks to our supporters.<\/p>\n

“Hundreds more children have benefitted from Cottage by exploring new places, having fun at the beach and making new friends.<\/p>\n

“We had a whopping 1,600 children attend a program in 2023.<\/p>\n

“This year, we want to increase our impact and support even more kids, and we need donations to make it happen.”<\/p>\n

All donations will be doubled on Tuesday by matching donors Bull and Bears Golf Group, Shine on Foundation among others.<\/p>\n
