{"id":8292,"date":"2018-03-28T07:54:10","date_gmt":"2018-03-28T07:54:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=8292"},"modified":"2018-04-02T04:49:53","modified_gmt":"2018-04-02T04:49:53","slug":"talent-busks-geelong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/talent-busks-geelong\/","title":{"rendered":"Talent busks out in Geelong"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A NEW busking competition, Geelong\u2019s Best KiD Busker is set to uncover the top young talent the region has to offer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Organiser Steve Thew said on the back of the recent Geelong Best Busker Competition he wanted to bring a similar event specifically for kids, to Central Geelong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLove Central Geelong are proud to be the major sponsor of this event which will run during the Central Geelong Storyfest event throughout the April school holidays,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe competition is the perfect platform for young performers aged 3-18 years to showcase their talents and gain experience playing before a live audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Geelong&#8217;s Best KiD Busker is a street performer competition where entrants will compete for a trophy, $500 cash and the title of Geelong&#8217;s Best KiD Busker.<\/p>\n<p>There are a range of prizes to be won, with a prize pool more than $1200, that includes an opportunity to play live on Pulse Radio.<\/p>\n<p>The heats will take place at Little Malop St Central, corner Moorabool St and Lt Malop Streets, Geelong on Tuesday April 3, Saturday April 7 and Tuesday April 10 between 10am and 2pm; with the final on Saturday April 14 from 10am until 2pm.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants can apply directly to Steve Thew by email at stevethew@ymail.com via Facebook facebook.com\/geelongsbestkidbusker or by calling Steve on 0400 028 854<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A NEW busking competition, Geelong\u2019s Best KiD Busker is set to uncover the top young talent the region has to offer.
