GEELONG police have apprehended a man linked to several electric bike and scooter thefts in Ocean Grove over recent months.<\/p>\n
Victoria Police stated detectives had been investigating the theft of e-bikes and e-scooters from caravan parks and public places in the summer period.<\/p>\n
“Investigators had been told e-bikes and e-scooters were being stolen from caravan parks and public places in the Ocean Grove area throughout January and February.<\/p>\n
“Following an extensive investigation, detectives arrested a 26-year-old man of no fixed place of abode and a 26-year-old Clifton Springs woman.”<\/p>\n
The man was subsequently charged with 10 counts of theft among other related offences and was remanded to appear before the Geelong Magistrates’ Court.<\/p>\n
The woman has been released pending further enquiries, as the investigation into the thefts continues.<\/p>\n
Victoria Police is urging the public to come forward with any relevant information by contacting Crime Stoppers.<\/p>\n
