This takes the total amount raised over the five years the event has run to $158,066.00. About 1,000 children took part in Easter egg hunts throughout the day, while local chldren painted nails, braided hair, and ran handball competitions for donations.<\/p>\n<p>The adult egg hunt was again a hit for both participants and spectators alike with a lot of laughs and some fantastic prizes being won. Entertainment was provided on the day by local Bellarine Secondary College student band \u201cBrunette Red Dress\u201d, who highlighted their talents playing a mix of covers and original tunes. Violinist Phil Smurthwaite also performed through the lunch period and another local artist Jude McGovern rounded out the day\u2019s entertainment &#8211; all of whom gave their time and talent for the fundraising effort. The club has thanked all of the businesses and individuals who supported the event along with the volunteers who gave their time to be a part of it.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery
