THE Bellarine Community Council (BCC) and the Drysdale Clifton Springs Curlewis Association (DCSCA) will host a meeting next week to address community concerns about the Drysdale Bypass.<\/p>\n
DCSCA member Neil McGuinness said BCC and DCSCA believed evidence available to them showed that the signalised treatment was the wrong outcome and would create an unsafe, inefficient and unattractive traffic bottleneck at the entrance to their community.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a result, there would be more crashes resulting in injury, increased travel times, a massive loss of trees and it would be very poorly received by residents of Drysdale and Clifton Springs,\u201d Mr McGuinness said.<\/p>\n
The public meeting will be held at the Potato Shed in Drysdale on Wednesday April 11 at 7pm. VicRoads will provide evidence they will build the safest and most efficient traffic outcome, while representatives from the City of Greater Geelong have been invited to address the community on the subject.
