{"id":84749,"date":"2024-04-18T01:20:19","date_gmt":"2024-04-17T15:20:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=84749"},"modified":"2024-04-17T14:25:52","modified_gmt":"2024-04-17T04:25:52","slug":"pierce-brothers-head-to-torquay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/pierce-brothers-head-to-torquay\/","title":{"rendered":"Pierce Brothers head to Torquay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pierce Brothers have started their nationwide tour after releasing their fourth studio album, <em>Everything Is Bigger Than Me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Twin brothers, Jack and Patrick Pierce kicked off their tour in March after a performance at Byron Bay\u2019s Bluesfest and will take the stage at the Torquay Hotel on May 11.<\/p>\n<p>After recently returning from their European tour with a majority of sell-out shows, the pair will perform right across the country until August.<\/p>\n<p>Showcasing their indie folk style, the duo&#8217;s new album is a journey through the last 10 years and was recorded in Jack&#8217;s home studio, with the pair stepping into the producer role for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Jack said there was a lot of planning that went into this album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had so many songs demoed ourselves first, and tweaked over months and months before we started principal recording,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><em>Everything Is Bigger Than Me<\/em> features 10 new tracks, including <em>Blood<\/em> with themes of family and brotherhood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of the themes we touched on with this record, I feel, could reach people,\u201d Patrick said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSongs like <em>Blood<\/em>, for example, I think would have a real appeal, with its themes of family and strife. I just hope they get to sit with it and feel like they\u2019re on a journey.
