BELLARINE Community Health (BCH) has a bright new reception and waiting area at its Community Health Centre site in Point Lonsdale.<\/p>\n
The redevelopment brings together the reception for Community Health Centre and Bellarine Community Health\u2019s Dental services for the first time and provides a new and separate reception and waiting area for the Point Lonsdale Medical Group.<\/p>\n
The reorientation of reception to the southern side of the building is the second stage of a multi-million dollar redevelopment project for the site.<\/p>\n
As part of stage two, new car parking spaces have been created outside the new entrance.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve had a delay in getting the new car park areas completed at the same time as the reception so there are some temporary access arrangements in place for clients using the Community Health and Medical Centre,\u201d BCH chief executive officer Shane Dawson said.<\/p>\n
For the time being, medical centre clients and BCH Dental and Community Health clients can continue to access the building from the existing reception doors and use the car parking on the corner of Grimes and Nelson roads.<\/p>\n
\u201cOnce the asphalting work is complete, then we\u2019ll be using the new front entrance and there will be a temporary one way vehicle traffic system in place for clients,\u201d Mr Dawson said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe apologise for any confusion or disruption this may cause for our clients but because we have kept all our services operating throughout the renovation we have had to stage work as best we can.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stage three of the project will involve closing the existing entrance and car park in preparation for the two-storey wing and also some internal changes in that area.<\/p>\n
Road users should also be aware of upcoming road works along Point Lonsdale Road just outside the Health Centre site.<\/p>\n
These works are required under the conditions of the planning permit for the Community Health Centre redevelopment project.<\/p>\n
The roadworks are scheduled to begin after Easter and estimated to take eight weeks to complete.<\/p>\n
The VicRoads approved schedule for the road works is during the hours of 7am to 6pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
