Photo: PETER MARSHALL<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The sailors were very patient and very pleased to be on the water with their friends and enjoying themselves.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Sail Bellarine was a collaboration between Indented Head Yacht Club, McCrae Yacht Club, Portarlington Sailing Club and St Leonards Yacht Club and Moton Squadron.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Ellenby said there was a great atmosphere across the two days with lots of people who knew each other.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/05\/B07K7595-SailBellari_86946.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">More than 70 boats took to the water for the 2024 Sail Bellarine Regatta. Photo: PETER MARSHALL<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There were lots of young sailors, families and older sailors there,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Many of the people know each other well don&#8217;t necessarily race against each other every weekend, but they might have a traveller series where they&#8217;ll they will visit regattas or clubs across the place.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Category winners included Chris Thorpe in ILCA 7, Andrew Crawshaw in ILCA 6, Callum Simmons in ILCA 4, Acklin Stent in Optimist, Alan Riley in Sabre, Mark Jackson in OK Dinghy, Mark Bulka and William Bulka in Taser and Glenn Collings in RS Aero 7.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/05\/B07K7620-RileyCooper_03007.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Riley Cooper and Glen Terry were on hand in the rescue boat.
