A LITTLE boy named Riley has inspired Ocean Grove youngster Gracey Gross to shave her head to raise money for kids with leukaemia.<\/p>\n
Riley, 5, has leukaemia and attends Goodstart Drysdale, where Gracey\u2019s mum Tara works.<\/p>\n
And when the nine-year-old heard about his story, she decided to sign up for the Leukaemia Foundation\u2019s World\u2019s Greatest Shave.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s been wanting to do it for years and when I told her about this little boy in my class, she insisted on doing it,\u201d Tara said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is such an extraordinary and thoughtful thing for any little girl to do.\u201d<\/p>\n
Gracey said her goal was to raise $700, but that she had already hit the $1,150 mark.<\/p>\n
Tara said what made Gracey even more brave was the fact she had high functioning autism and didn\u2019t like her head getting touched.<\/p>\n
Gracey will shave her head at an assembly at Drysdale Primary School on April 23.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven the fact she wants to stand up in front of the whole school is a big deal for her,\u201d Tara said.<\/p>\n
