Well known British band The Animals, are making their way around Australia for their 60th anniversary and farewell tour.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of their tour, the four-piece will perform at The Story House in Geelong this Sunday.<\/p>\n

Originally, the band was formed during the 60’s and included Eric Burdon, Hinton Valentine, Chas Chandler, Alan Price and John Steel.<\/p>\n

The band covered songs from several different artists before releasing their own big hits.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaby Let me Follow you Down\u201d, which was later renamed \u201cBaby let me Take you Home,\u201d was the bands first single and quickly followed by their number one hit \u2018House of the Rising Sun,\u2019 which topped the charts in the UK, US and Canada.<\/p>\n

Following in The Beatles’ footsteps, The Animals were the second British band to top the American charts.<\/p>\n

The Animals have released several of well-known songs over the years; music that\u2019s still listened to today. “We\u2019ve Gotta Get Out of This Place,” “Boom Boom”,”Don\u2019t Let me be Misunderstood”, and more were some of their biggest hits and will be brought back to life on the tour.<\/p>\n

Today the band comprises original member John Steel, along with Danny Handley, Bobby Ruiz and Barney \u201cBoogie\u201d Williams.<\/p>\n

After performing in Geelong on July 7, the band will then head to Adelaide for their last show of the tour.<\/p>\n
