{"id":9077,"date":"2018-04-18T07:59:25","date_gmt":"2018-04-18T07:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=9077"},"modified":"2018-04-20T02:16:39","modified_gmt":"2018-04-20T02:16:39","slug":"a-touch-of-the-irish-to-arrive-in-port","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/a-touch-of-the-irish-to-arrive-in-port\/","title":{"rendered":"A Touch of the irish to arrive in Port"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FROM a childhood training in classical music on her flute to an immersion in the sounds of rock legend Jimi Hendrix, Irish songstress Cara Robinson is one of a kind.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After meeting Aussie bluesman Hat Fitz at a Blues Festival in Ireland the pair went on to fall in love and form an electrifying act of their own.<\/p>\n<p>After marrying, the husband and wife duo have taken their show on the road, leaving crowds across continents begging for more of their explosive live performances.<\/p>\n<p>Original compositions steeped in folk and blues laced with an authentic gospel sound have made the pair festival favourites throughout Canada, Australia, Europe and the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Now residing on the sunshine coast internationally acclaimed Hat Fitz and Cara have been locked in for this year\u2019s National Celtic Festival in Portarlington taking place over the June 8-11 long weekend.<\/p>\n<p>With musical talents between them covering drums, flute, whistle, washboards and vocals and electric guitar, guitar and banjo Cara said their sound is tenacious.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth our passion is the blues genre, it\u2019s quite gritty and it takes away the constant romance in the songs.
