{"id":90962,"date":"2024-07-29T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-28T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=90962"},"modified":"2024-07-29T10:32:41","modified_gmt":"2024-07-29T00:32:41","slug":"vintage-machinery-to-roll-out-on-the-bellarine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/vintage-machinery-to-roll-out-on-the-bellarine\/","title":{"rendered":"Vintage machinery to roll out on the Bellarine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Bellarine Vintage Machinery Group is gearing up to hold its annual Father&#8217;s Day event in September.<\/p>\n<p>Classic cars, motorbikes, trucks, vintage tractors and more will be on show at the One Day Estate Winery on September 1.<\/p>\n<p>Bellarine Vintage Machinery Group Inc. treasurer Raelene Vella said the event had been growing every year, with last year being their best yet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All the main attractions always differ each year, this year we&#8217;ve got a big fertiliser spreader and will show how that works. We&#8217;ve also got this year &#8211; which we&#8217;ve never had before &#8211; a Fargovan that has a steam whistle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Demonstrations will take place throughout the day, and children will be well entertained with horse and\u00a0cart rides.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s a vintage tractor pull, there&#8217;s sheep shearing with the old lister engines, we have a blacksmith shop and a chaff cutter and this year we&#8217;re going to have different roller mills,&#8221; Ms<\/p>\n<p>Vella said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/07\/smallmachine_25069.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"598\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Attendees will be able to experience working demonstrations of some of the machinery. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She said the event showed people how the old machines worked and how hard it was back in those days.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We hold it to try to keep the history of all the machinery and everything alive and try to take people back to their grassroots.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This year will mark the club&#8217;s first year of hosting the event on their own, previously running it as a subgroup of the Bellarine Show.<\/p>\n<p>Entry is free for children and $10 for adults, with the event running from 9am until 3pm.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, head to the Bellarine Vintage Machinery Group Inc.
