THREE restaurants on the Bellarine Peninsulia have won the popular vote in this year’s Australian Good Food Guide (AGFG) Readers’ Choice Awards.<\/p>\n

The awards, announced annually, are designed to give the Australian public the opportunity to vote for their favourite establishments throughout the year.<\/p>\n

There were 28 awards presented to restaurants across Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula.<\/p>\n

AGFG readers voted the bistro at the Barwon Heads Hotel as having the best Pub Food, Hanoi Kitchen in Barwon Heads in the Vietnamese category, and Ocean Grove’s Napona restaurant (which recently closed) in the Italian category.<\/p>\n

Other restaurants from Geelong to win Reader’s Choice awards in their categories were:<\/p>\n

American – Armstrong Barbecue in Mount Duneed<\/p>\n

Asian – Baah Lah! Dining in Geelong West<\/p>\n

Breakfast – Pakington Pantry in Newtown<\/p>\n

Burger – Burger Plus Geelong in Geelong<\/p>\n

Cafe – Cafe Go and House Iberia, both in Geelong<\/p>\n

Chinese – Oh Dumping in East Geelong<\/p>\n

Coffee – Eddy and Wills Cafe in Hamlyn Heights<\/p>\n

French – Felix in Geelong<\/p>\n

Fusion – Frankie Bar & Eatery in Geelong<\/p>\n

Indian – Eastern Spice in Geelong<\/p>\n

Italian – Caruggi Italian in Geelong<\/p>\n

Japanese – Sakuratei Japanese Cuisine in Manifold Heights<\/p>\n

Mexican – El Santo Geelong in Geelong<\/p>\n

Middle Eastern – The Arborist in Geelong<\/p>\n

Modern Australian – The Yardz in Geelong<\/p>\n

Pub Food – Valley Inn Hotel in Geelong<\/p>\n

Region – Centra Hotel in Geelong<\/p>\n

Seafood – The Geelong Boat House in Geelong<\/p>\n

South American – Alma in Geelong<\/p>\n

Steak – Parkers Steakhouse Geelong in Geelong<\/p>\n

Thai – Arani Thai Restaurant in Geelong, and<\/p>\n

Vegan – Feast Geelong in East Geelong<\/p>\n

There were also three regional awards, with Bellarine’s Banks Road Vineyard winning the wineries category and Leopold’s Campbell Point House winning the accommodation category.<\/p>\n

Each establishment’s AGFG listing has a “Vote Now” button. The establishment with the most votes in their respective category and region over a 12-month period will win a Readers’ Choice Award, with awards broken up by establishment type and region.<\/p>\n
