{"id":91552,"date":"2024-08-14T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-13T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=91552"},"modified":"2024-08-07T20:31:01","modified_gmt":"2024-08-07T10:31:01","slug":"winter-festival-glows-at-adventure-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/winter-festival-glows-at-adventure-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter festival glows at Adventure Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MORE than 40,000 people enjoyed the winter magic at Adventure Park\u2019s Winter Glow festival this year.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors got into the spirit and rugged up to enjoy more than 30 snow, lights, fire and ice attractions during the seven-week festival.<\/p>\n<p>From building a snowman in the biggest snow play zone outside the nation\u2019s alpine resorts, to gazing at the 3.3 million lights, to making some winter warming treats, there was plenty to do for people of all ages.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/08\/ww240061_05828.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The snow zone at Winter Glow is the biggest outside the nation&#8217;s alpine resorts.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The park also opened eight of its theme park rides, all of which were included in the entry price.<\/p>\n<p>Initially scheduled to be held from June 22 to July 21, the event was extended due to popularity and only wrapped up on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Adventure Park managing director Leanne Salmon said the festival would go down as one of their biggest yet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/08\/ww240209_05824.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"899\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">More than 3.3 million lights projected across Adventure Park for Winter Glow.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver 40,000 people visited Winter Glow, with several nights sold out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross the festival, we made a whopping150 tonnes of snow, which was enjoyed by all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new ice princess stole the show with daily appearances and posing for photos with kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/08\/ww240201_05777.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Plenty of sweet and savoury treats were on offer at the festival.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ms Salmon said the team at Adventure Park would be looking at adding a new experience at the event in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWatch this space.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MORE than 40,000 people enjoyed the winter magic at Adventure Park\u2019s Winter Glow festival this year.
