{"id":92692,"date":"2024-08-28T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-27T18:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=92692"},"modified":"2024-08-23T15:28:11","modified_gmt":"2024-08-23T05:28:11","slug":"circa-1902-relaunches-as-gingerbaby","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/circa-1902-relaunches-as-gingerbaby\/","title":{"rendered":"Circa 1902 relaunches as Gingerbaby"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AFTER eight years of owning Queenscliff&#8217;s Circa 1902, Chris and Sally Dinneen have officially relaunched the restaurant with a new name.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant will now be known as Gingerbaby, officially unveiled on August 16, with the name reflecting the menu&#8217;s modern Asian influence.<\/p>\n<p>Chris said the reason behind the name change was to separate the two businesses housed within Circa 1902 &#8211; the restaurant and accommodation &#8211; and was something they had wanted to do for a while.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Gingerbaby itself is to reflect the food that we&#8217;re doing, there&#8217;s fresh Asian ingredients. Photo: SUPPLIED<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Along with a new name and menu, the restaurant has also undergone renovations, redecorating the space and including a new colour scheme.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The interior is almost unrecognisable of what we had before, and we wanted that to be the case, to say this is a new change, it&#8217;s not just fiddling around the edges,&#8221; Chris said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a significant change for us, for this team and for this community who are going to come and dine and the broader community who are making their way down to us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The relaunch of the business was a team effort, extending to their kitchen staff and those on\u00a0the floor.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re just so thrilled to have the people behind us that are there in the background and the foreground doing what they do to make all of this a success,&#8221; Sally said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/08\/IMG_1998_00640.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">International and national chef Mathew Hallam has created the new menu, using fresh Asian ingredients and locally sourced produce<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What we want to create is a really invigorated workplace where all of our staff feel valued and included.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The business is excited about its future of among the supportive community of residents and traders in Queenscliff.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ll continue to work really hard to make Queenscliff a lively and thriving township all year round, not just seasonal,&#8221; Sally said.<\/p>\n<p>The accommodation side of the business will continue trading as Circa 1902.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AFTER eight years of owning Queenscliff&#8217;s Circa 1902, Chris and Sally Dinneen have officially relaunched the restaurant with a new name.
