Many people have sat in a public space and watched others. People waiting for coffee, waiting for a train, waiting in line to use the self-serve groceries checkout.<\/p>\n

What do they all usually have in common? Answer: A phone in their hand and a gaze fixated on it. Communication surrounds everyone, bombarded with messages everywhere you go, even when filling the car with petrol a TV screen and video advertisement starts playing, enticing us to watch and listen.<\/p>\n

There are now so many ways to communicate and everyone has individual opinions and needs as to how to connect with the world. Whilst in many large arena’s it appears the “old” face to face ways are being replaced by the “new” faceless automated ways, it’s not always the case.<\/p>\n

Starting in 1883, Tuckers Funeral and Bereavement Service has been assisting generations of families across the Geelong Region, providing personalised support at a time when good communication is so important.<\/p>\n

Now, 141 years later, Tuckers continues to embrace knew approaches to communicate, but holds onto its foundation -providing the very best support to those who need it before, during and after the loss of a\u00a0loved one.<\/p>\n

At the time of making funeral arrangements, there are so many decisions to be made and things to do. The funeral director plays a major role in receiving information (being a good listener first) and then sharing information and giving guidance to the family. These face-to-face meetings after the loss of loved one are so important and it’s crucial this exchange of information happens in a concise, thorough, factual, easy to understand and respectful way.
