The poppy is worn around Armistice Day (November 11) and it has also become popular in wreaths used on Anzac Day.<\/p>\n<p>One of the Star of the Sea Village crafters, Valerie Bateman, said they will donate the poppies to neighbouring Star of the Sea Residential Aged Care, where some of the residents are war veterans.<\/p>\n<p>The craft group meet a few times a week to share their love of craft, crocheting and knitting.
