{"id":9356,"date":"2018-04-26T11:58:02","date_gmt":"2018-04-26T11:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=9356"},"modified":"2018-04-26T11:58:02","modified_gmt":"2018-04-26T11:58:02","slug":"australian-wool-innovation-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/australian-wool-innovation-review\/","title":{"rendered":"Australian Wool Innovation review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EY, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, has been appointed by the Federal Government to conduct an independent review of Australian Wool Innovation (AWI).<\/p>\n<p>The review is now open for submissions, closing on May 4 2018 and submissions can be made via the webpage: srnet.com.au\/SE\/1\/AWIReview.<\/p>\n<p>The review is being led by Andrew Metcalfe AO, EY Federal Government Lead Partner, EY Australia, in accordance with the terms of reference outlined by the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe purpose of the independent review is to consider AWI\u2019s performance against its stated objectives to ensure it is delivering for growers and community,\u201d Mr Metcalfe said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Metcalfe said the review will consider AWI\u2019s delivery upon core objectives including research, development, extension and marketing services to woolgrowers, and other matters of public interest and that they welcome submissions from all relevant stakeholders including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AWI levy payers\/wool growers<\/li>\n<li>Industry Associations<\/li>\n<li>Research and Development Corporations<\/li>\n<li>Commonwealth or State Government departments or agencies<\/li>\n<li>Shearing Entities<\/li>\n<li>Early Stage Processors<\/li>\n<li>Spinners\/Weavers<\/li>\n<li>NGOs<\/li>\n<li>Brands, Retailers and Associations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The review team will consult broadly with industry and help deliver a final report about AWI\u2019s performance in relation to its stated objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Metcalfe indicated that the review was under way and that the review team were eager to receive submissions and comments on the terms of reference from industry participants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EY, a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, has been appointed by the Federal Government to conduct an independent review of Australian Wool Innovation (AWI).
