PREPARATIONS are in full swing for this year’s Bellarine Arts Trail, with the event’s organising committee confirming the dates for this year’s edition.<\/p>\n

Organising committee member Kaz Shirley sid this year’s arts trail was one of its largest to date, with over 90 local artists to feature over the course of the two-day event.<\/p>\n

“We are genuinely excited because this year we have a full ledger of artists participating this year, 30 of which are new to the event, “It just shows that what we are trying to do, which is giving artists an opportunity to share their work all across the region.<\/p>\n

“Part of what we’re trying to do is to build capacity for artists, not many get exhibits in exhibition, but they can do that every year in the trail, it’s just a big community event.”<\/p>\n

Taking place on November 2 and November 3 across 40 venues across the Bellarine Peninsula, the 2024 Bellarine Arts Trail has played a crucial role in providing a platform to local artists who have a passion for creation.<\/p>\n

Open studios and exhibition spaces will be held in towns such as Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff.<\/p>\n

The two-day celebration will be officially launched at the Barwon Heads Arts Hub on October 19 at 5 Clifford Parade welcoming artists and art enthusiasts to this year’s proceedings.<\/p>\n

Ms Shirley said the largest ever arts trail was held in 2017, with about 95 artists featuring that year.<\/p>\n

The size of the artist pool seven years ago according to Ms Shirley was hardly manageable, but as a result of the trail’s growth in previous years, the organising committee believes this year’s artist quantity is perfect.<\/p>\n
