PARKS VICTORIA has captured feedback from nearly 800 community members to help shape the future of the St Leonards Pier.<\/p>\n
The Consultation Summary Report for the St Leonards Local Port Area Plan featured a strong desire to preserve the current character of the pier and to support recreational activities such as walking, swimming and fishing.<\/p>\n
Additionally, there was concerns about environmental protection, which will be carefully considered in future planning.<\/p>\n
Bellarine MP Alison Marchant thanked everyone for contributing to the report by submitting feedback in March and April<\/p>\n
this year.<\/p>\n
“I understand how much this project means to the community and I thank everyone for their engagement and views.<\/p>\n
“The consultation is an important part of the project and will help shape further works.<\/p>\n
“I am proud to see this investment for St Leonards and the Bellarine and look forward to working with the community as the project progresses.”<\/p>\n
Parks Victoria will incorporate feedback into the developmental progress and further investigate maritime heritage and environmental values.<\/p>\n
