GEELONG Football Club has made a big acquisition outside of the club’s best 22, appointing Desmond O’Sullivan as the AFL club’s new high performance manager.<\/p>\n

With over 12 years’ experience, O’Sullivan joins the Cats after holding the position of senior strength and conditioning coach at the Western Bulldogs for the last three seasons.<\/p>\n

Geelong Cats general manager of football Andrew Mackie welcomed O’Sullivan, noting his expertise at the AFL level.<\/p>\n

“We welcome Des to Geelong Football Club, he comes to the Club with a wealth of knowledge and experience in AFL high performance,” Mackie said.<\/p>\n

“We’re looking forward to having Des oversee our physical performance and medical teams and believe he will be an excellent addition to our football program.”<\/p>\n

O’Sullivan spent nine years at the Essendon Football Club before the Western Bulldogs, in various high performance and sports science roles.<\/p>\n
