Opening on Saturday, November 2, the exhibition continues the gallery&#8217;s proud tradition of displaying exceptional talents of local artists.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We cover a broad range of subjects and media, reflecting the diverse artistic practices that are on display and often taught at the Neighbourhood House,&#8221; House Gallery chair Jocelyn Adam said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/10\/IMG_2936AA_81628.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"443\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Gallery Salon exhibition will be open during the Bellarine Arts Trail.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The work featured in Gallery Salon represents a mosaic of our creative expression.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Artists include:<\/p>\n<p>Jocelyn Adam who focuses largely on nostalgia &#8211; a landscape full of memories or everyday treasured objects &#8211; to evoke memories for self and viewers alike.<\/p>\n<p>Anita Armytagespecialises in collage, using recycled glossy magazines, depicting interiors and portraits.<\/p>\n<p>Janet Leckieis an experienced textile artist who works with recycled fabrics including rescued doilies, lace and Japanese kimono silk to tell a story.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/10\/20241010_081946_81612.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The exhibition celebrates the creativity of the six artists.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jaimie Mavromihalisa textile artist, focuses on fabric manipulation and collage, hand sewing and felt creations.<\/p>\n<p>Julie Morganwith a foundation in watercolour, Julie includes collage and mixed media to add a contemporary dimension and vibrancy to her work, and<\/p>\n<p>Tracy Watt responds to the different facets and seasons of the Bellarine Peninsula with sensitive graphite drawings that often evolve into watercolour to evoke a mood or capture light.<\/p>\n<p>Gallery Salon not only showcases the diverse talents of these artists but also highlights their role within the House Gallery committee, which curates around 10 exhibitions annually. Their collaboration demonstrates a commitment to enabling a vibrant arts community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/10\/IMG_8518_81589.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mediums between the artists range from watercolour and textile art through to collage, graphite drawings and more.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nestled in a secluded part of Queenscliff&#8217;s foreshore, the Queenscliff Neighbourhood House Gallery is a welcoming place for the community, a platform for emerging artists and art lovers.<\/p>\n<p>Gallery Salon will be open daily during the Bellarine Arts Trail from 10am to 4pm and thereafter Monday to Thursday 10am\u20133pm, Fridays 10am to 12.30pm, weekends 11am to 4pm until November 30.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is free, and all works are available for purchase.<\/p>\n<p>Queenscliff Neighbourhood House Gallery is at 3 Tobin Drive, Queenscliff and is #39 on the BAT Map.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In its 13th year, the Queenscliff Neighbourhood House Gallery presents Gallery Salon, during the Bellarine Arts Trail.
