{"id":95970,"date":"2024-11-10T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-09T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=95970"},"modified":"2024-11-06T23:09:40","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T12:09:40","slug":"one-year-of-miss-buzz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/one-year-of-miss-buzz\/","title":{"rendered":"One year of Miss Buzz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A LOCAL business owner is celebrating after hitting the one-year mark at a Bellarine hospitality venue.<\/p>\n<p>Miss Buzz took over Sirens Boathouse and Kiosk at St Lenoards Pier in November last year, turning it into an espresso bar.<\/p>\n<p>Owner Casey Hurst had been running Miss Buzz from her van, as well as her sister business Miss Fizz for the past five years when she took on the space.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Events have been slower the last year so when I saw Sirens Kiosk come up as an opportunity, I jumped on it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was my goal to find a permanent location for my van setup, so this just made sense; I could have a permanent spot and still do events.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The kiosk celebrated the milestone with the community, giving away free mini cookies with each drink, double loyalty points and a draw to win a month of free coffees.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2024\/11\/IMG_7834_74909.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"769\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Casey Hurst took on the space after running her business out of a van.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over the past year, the business has gained loyal regulars and perfected its menu and offerings, knowing what customers want.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Hurst said the time has flown by and it&#8217;s been so much more than what she was expecting.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s such a huge achievement, I feel like we are just getting started and we just opened yesterday.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ms Hurst said she has a small team working with her that make it all possible and make heading into work a joy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The best part is bringing joy into people&#8217;s days and providing them with good quality coffee, the best jaffles and friendly service that I know they will be back for.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The kiosk is open from 8.30am, Thursday to Monday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A LOCAL business owner is celebrating after hitting the one-year mark at a Bellarine hospitality venue.
