{"id":97333,"date":"2024-12-15T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-14T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=97333"},"modified":"2024-12-12T21:39:30","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T10:39:30","slug":"gdfnl-releases-2025-fixture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/sport\/gdfnl-releases-2025-fixture\/","title":{"rendered":"GDFNL releases 2025 fixture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WITH Christmas just around the corner, the Geelong &amp; District Football Netball League (GDFNL) has released its fixture for 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Senior football premier Thomson will play its first home game in a grand final rematch against Belmont in round three, while A Grade flag winner East Geelong will have to wait until round 11 to play its grand final rematch against Winchelsea at Richmond Crescent.<\/p>\n<p>Round one will take place on the first weekend of April with Inverleigh hosting Winchelsea, Belmont playing Werribee Centrals at Winter Reserve, Thomson travelling to Geelong West, East Geelong and Bannockburn will meet in East Geelong, North Geelong heads to Myers Reserve to play Bell Post Hill and Corio opens up the year against Anakie at home.<\/p>\n<p>With Thomson to unfurl its first football flag since 2018 in round three, East Geelong&#8217;s A Grade netballers will have the luxury of unfurling their flag on opening day.<\/p>\n<p>The competition&#8217;s traditional games information has also been revealed.<\/p>\n<p>The Anzac Day clash between Inverleigh and Bannockburn will be held as a standalone fixture on April 25 at Bannockburn&#8217;s Victoria Park.<\/p>\n<p>Details are yet to be confirmed for Belmont&#8217;s annual NAIDOC Week game at Winter Reserve.
