TWO Bellarine schools have received a welcome funding boost to upgrade their facilities.<\/p>\n
Drysdale Primary School will receive almost $300,000 to build an inclusive playground, which will give students of all abilities more opportunities to play and learn together.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Bellarine Secondary College will receive almost $500,000 to refurbish the school’s student toilets.<\/p>\n
Bellarine MP Alison Marchant congratulated both schools.<\/p>\n
“This is a great opportunity for schools across the Bellarine to update their facilities to ensure every student is learning in the very best environment,” Ms Marchant said.<\/p>\n
Drysdale Primary School and Bellarine Secondary College are among 58 schools across the state to receive funding for a range of small-scale refurbishments, such as bathroom repairs, in the latest round of the Victorian government’s Capital Works Fund.<\/p>\n
Education Minister Ben Carroll said every student deserves world-class facilities at their school.<\/p>\n
“We will continue to invest in renovating school facilities, making sure we meet the needs of every child,” he said.<\/p>\n
“Every family wants the best for their kids \u2013 the best education in state-of-the-art facilities.<\/p>\n
“Our record investment in school infrastructure is delivering for our hard-working school communities in the education state.”<\/p>\n
The Victorian School Building Authority will work with both schools in the coming months to deliver the projects, with all construction expected to be completed by mid-2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
