{"id":98657,"date":"2025-01-23T04:00:51","date_gmt":"2025-01-22T17:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=98657"},"modified":"2025-01-23T04:00:51","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T17:00:51","slug":"drinks-flow-at-geelong-beer-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/drinks-flow-at-geelong-beer-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Drinks flow at Geelong Beer Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE warm weather didn&#8217;t stop thousands of people from flocking to Johnstone Park last Saturday (January 18) for the Geelong Beer Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Around 5000 people attended the event where a lineup of world-class breweries, cideries, distilleries, cocktail specialists and vineyards was on display.<\/p>\n<p>Food trucks, live music, entertainment, masterclasses and more added to the experience, attracting people from across Victoria and interstate.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_153841\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-153841\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-153841 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/01\/IMG_4164_45278-1024x683.jpg?_t=1737522727\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-153841\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Jordy Maxwell entertained festival goers when he took to the stage.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Festival director Kieran Blood said this year&#8217;s festival was an all round success.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our crowds were up about 10 per cent on last year, the weather was perfect, it was a really good vibe for the day, a really good crowd who were all so polite and so happy, everything went so smoothly, it was great,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_153842\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-153842\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-153842 \" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/01\/IMG_4168_45312-1024x683.jpg?_t=1737522727\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-153842\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Around 5,000 people made their way to Johnstone Park for the festival.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All the vendors had an amazing day; we were a few down because of the current climate, but the ones that were there certainly made the most of it and had a good day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Blood said one of the highlights was the live entertainment \u2013 with two stages, music was able to run consistently throughout the day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE warm weather didn&#8217;t stop thousands of people from flocking to Johnstone Park last Saturday (January 18) for the Geelong Beer Festival.
