The sun was beaming down, the waves were beautiful, and it was great all round.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To have 80 surfers and more than 200 volunteer was a great result. It was a good ratio and everyone got around it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s now onwards and upwards for the next one.&#8221;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 601px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/02\/476109590_1846032936_61385.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"601\" height=\"450\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Surfers were presented with a medal for their surfing performance.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The next DSA Ocean Grove session will be held on March 2.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteer and surfer registrations are now open.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are hoping for the same amount [volunteers], maybe even more, so we can open up more spots for surfers,&#8221; Mr Christie said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Eighty volunteers make it a nice smooth-running day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MORE than 200 volunteers helped to put smiles on dials at the first Disabled Surfing Association (DSA) session of the year at Ocean Grove.
