{"id":99500,"date":"2025-02-19T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-18T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=99500"},"modified":"2025-02-13T11:03:08","modified_gmt":"2025-02-13T00:03:08","slug":"adds-barwon-heads-show-to-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/living\/adds-barwon-heads-show-to-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"Ziggy Alberts adds Barwon Heads show to tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Musician Ziggy Alberts is just one week away from dropping his seventh studio album, <em>New Love<\/em>, and has added four regional dates to his Australian tour.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His additional shows will take him to the Barwon Heads Hotel on March 29 as part of his Summer Au Tour &#8217;25.<\/p>\n<p>The Australian tour marks the artist&#8217;s first full-length regional run in the country since his world tour in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Alberts will release <em>New Love<\/em> on February 21 before embarking on a world tour in May with shows in North America, Mexico, Europe and the UK.<\/p>\n<p>The latest album was born on the road, crafted throughout his time in the UK and Europe and completed on his return to Australia&#8217;s East Coast.<\/p>\n<p><em>New Love<\/em> is a collection of songs where acoustic melodies and arrangements come together, following the themes of second chance, joy and navigating modern life complexities.<\/p>\n<p>The musician got his start busking on the streets of Byron Bay and released his first studio album in 2013 where a tour shortly followed.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30038\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30038\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30038\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/02\/ZiggyAlberts_76139.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30038\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Australian tour marks the artist&#8217;s first full-length regional run in the country since his world tour in 2018. Photo: ZIGGY ALBERTS\/FACEBOOK<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The international tour will mark a major milestone in Alberts&#8217; career, taking him to venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Malkin Bowl in Vancouver and Coliseu dos Recreios.<\/p>\n<p>Since landing on the music scene, Alberts has found success in the charts with his singles <em>Laps Around the Sun<\/em> and <em>Runaway<\/em> reaching ARIA triple platinum status.
