Bevan Madden

Occupation: Maths teacher at Girton Grammar.

Resides: Whipstick Ward (Eaglehawk).

How long have you lived in your council?

My whole life (28 years and some change).

Community involvement: As a kid, I played soccer and Cricket for Eaglehawk, and studied martial arts at an Eaglehawk club. I went to school at Eaglehawk North Primary School, then to Girton Grammar School in Bendigo… Member of the Bendigo Symphony Orchestra… Bendigo Umpires Association, as a goal umpire since 2021… Volunteered on the committee of Bendigo Theatre Company for 5 years (2018-2022), president (2021-2022).

Associated with a political party or movement?: No.

Preferencing: The voters are free to preference who they choose (hopefully they put me as number 1).

Campaign budget? Receiving financial support?: I don’t have a budget as such, I anticipate I will spend less than $1000, all self funded. I do not accept financial donations. I have received some in kind donations from friends in the form of consultation time.

Three most important issues in your ward?:

1. Service Delivery

2. Cost-of-Living Crisis

3. Managing Growth
