All Aussie line-up woos Racecourse

IT was a mild case of “the walking wounded” at last Saturday’s Red Hot Summer Tour at the Bendigo Racecourse with Paul Kelly unable to play guitar due to a broken finger and Missy Higgins hobbling across the stage in a moon boot.

But both singer-songwriters didn’t miss a beat, delivering punters a hit parade spanning their decades-long recording careers. They were most ably supported by Indigenous rising star Jess Hitchcock and iconic acts Kasey Chambers, The Cat Empire and The Cruel Sea.
