FESTIVE season stalwart, the Rotary Club of Bendigo Christmas Market, is returning on Sunday 30 November once again in the idyllic setting of Mandurang Valley Winery, about ten minutes drive from town.

Proceeds from the day will go towards donating a Designated Patient Transport Monitor to Bendigo Health, which has a purchase price of $6500 and costs another $500 to install.

Coordinator and Rotary past president Lyn Comer said the stall roster has been full since July, with plenty of new entrants among the 70 and 30 more on the waiting list.

“We’ve got extra parking as well, which has been a bit of a nightmare for us (in the past),” she said.

“We’ve got another three acres, which is going to make it a lot more convenient for people.”

She said the usual array of items for sale will be on offer.

“There’s a lot of Christmas stuff, craft stuff, there’s jewellery, mosaics, artworks, photography, dolls’ clothes, LED lighting, chopping and charcuterie boards, candles of course and (even) opals from Lightning Ridge, which is very interesting,” she said.

“Foodwise, Rotary is doing Devonshire tea, coffee and sandwiches, and we’ve also got a barbecue, a donut and ice cream van, potato twirls and Asian desserts.

“It’s a lovely setting at the winery – it’s just beautiful, so come along and spend an hour or two,” Ms Comer said. The market takes place on Sunday 30 November from 10am to 3pm at Mandurang Valley Winery, 77 Fadersons Lane, Mandurang.
