Art expo and more

May 26, 2021 BY

Chris and Cheryl Johnston and Peter Humphries sample a drop of local wine at the official opening of the 2019 Pyrenees Art Exhibition.

THE Community Bank Beaufort Pyrenees Art Exhibition was cancelled in 2020, as many other events were, but we’re back in 2021 with the event to be held from 12 to the 14 June at the Shire Hall in Lawrence Street, Beaufort.

Each year, our Art Exhibition is supported by over 100 artists from interstate, statewide and the local Pyrenees area providing artistic styles from traditional to contemporary.

430 painting were hung in the Exhibition in 2019.

Organised by the Pyrenees Arts Council and the Rotary Club of Beaufort, funds raised from this event go to support Art in the Pyrenees and Art Trax Gallery, along with Rotary’s many service programs.

We are also supported by a number of community groups who help us to stage the event and are able to raise funds for their groups as well.

Rotary’s Pop-Up Second-Hand Book Sale and a Quilt Exhibition will also be held in conjunction with the Art Exhibition, along with the launch of a new book by local author Val Case on Monday 14 June at 11am at the Rotary Book Sale.

This book, The Undertaker’s Daughter, is a sequel to Val’s 2014 book The Undertakers Wife.

The Art Trax Gallery will also be open, so there is something to interest all visitors to Beaufort over the long weekend.

All details of this event are available from our website pyreneesartexhibition.org, our Facebook page – Pyrenees Art Exhibition or by contacting 0417 369 322.
