FOLLOWING a highly successful global tour, Bluey, Bingo, Mum and Dad will soon be headed to Bendigo as part of a massive Australian tour.

Ulumbarra Theatre will host Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show on both 18 and 19 July.

Ahead of the much-loved Heeler family’s arrival, some of the show’s most important VIPs, including the Bluey stage puppet, her personal puppeteer Julia Landberg, and the show’s director of puppetry Jacob Williams paid a visit to the goldfields region in recent days.

Featuring larger than life, cleverly crafted puppets, the theatrical adaptation of the award-winning children’s television series is packed with music, laughter, and fun for the whole family, Landberg and Williams said.

“When Bluey skips onto the stage she gets a massive cheer from the audience, it’s quite special,” said Landberg.

Williams said the show has introduced audiences around the world to some uniquely Aussie terms.

“Bluey is very much an ambassador and the culture around the show is just a real joy,” he said.

Audiences of all ages will get to see Bluey, Bingo, Chilli and Bandit as they’ve never seen them before, as Bluey and the family embark on this unique live show adventure that has delighted audiences across the globe.

With an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm, and music by Bluey composer Joff Bush, it will be Bluey, ‘for real life’.

“After an incredible journey touring around the world, we’re beyond excited to bring Bluey’s Big Play home to Australian audiences,” said Sharon Wilson, director of brands and licensing BBC Studios ANZ.

“The love for Bluey continues to grow, and we can’t wait for families around the country to experience the joy, laughter and heart of this special live show, right here on home soil,” Wilson said.
