“It is just so unique to be able to travel through the Torrumbarry Lock and then down to Koondrook people just want to be part of it.
“With the river running high at the moment we have a small window in which to schedule these cruises and with all the COVID related cruise cancellations we now have availability to do them.”
Victorian regional guests have the opportunity to cruise over 400 kilometres aboard PS Emmylou on a return seven night cruise to Koondrook.
Guests can choose from two departures, 4 and 18 October or take a shorter one-way cruise departure from either Echuca for a three-night cruise downstream or a four-night cruise from Koondrook upstream.
Carrying just 16 guests, powered by a restored 1906 steam engine and totally refurbished with deluxe cabins and ensuites, the boutique Emmylou paddlesteamer starred in the hit 1983 TV mini-series, All the Rivers Run, with Sigrid Thornton, and is still one of the most recognisable and iconic paddlesteamers in Australia.
Guests on these cruises will experience tranquil and remote Victorian riverside evening moorings only available when the river runs high, allowing guests to experience the serenity and wildlife of the bush at night.
