VIEW Street community art space Dudley House was a vibrant hive of colour and movement last Saturday for the launch of the United Artists of Mexico and Bendigo (Artistas Unidos de México y Bendigo) exhibition, which continues until this Monday, 23 June. The launch comprised a traditional Huipils (handwoven garment) display from various Mexican regions, dancing and fashion modelling from the Mexbourne Dance Troupe, mariachi singer Sergio Garcia, and a runway set by Bendigo designer of stage and film Kristine Von Hilderbrandt. Contributing artists include Eaglehawk-based Bodes, paper maker Molly Rule, and contemporary sculptur David Waters.
