Original Bowser Bean gets great makeover

ARE you a busy worker, a parent or just looking for a quick coffee and a feed?

Established in 2017 by Vantage Fuels, Bowser Bean’s first location opened on Wellington Street, Strathfieldsaye.

Four years and fifteen more locations later, the original Strathfieldsaye site is being refurbished.

Managing director Haydn Tierney announced the exciting news last week.

“Bowser Bean Strathfieldsaye was a standout for our network during the 2020 lockdowns, with many locals discovering the cafe and getting behind our great Bowser Bean food and coffee offer,” he said.

“Given the site’s increase in popularity, we reviewed the limited dine in cafe area and tight coffee crafting space and determined we could better service the local community through improving these factors and adding some additional elements from our more recent fit outs.”

The new look Bowser Bean will have an increased dining area with various styles of seating, updated lowline shelving, slushie machine and upgraded counter to improve coffee workflow and customer interaction.

An essential range of grocery items including auto accessories, firewood, ice, phone cards, gas bottles and even fishing license and trailer hire make Bowser Bean one of the region’s most popular convenience stores.

All that convenience, mixed with a delicious selection of fresh coffee from fully trained baristas, results in terrific service for the bustling, growing Greater Bendigo region.

At the Strathfieldsaye location, new coffee wait bench will provide a cosy spot for customers to take a break from their busy lives and enjoy a complimentary sparkling or still water.

A bespoke merchandising area is included, with some of the region’s finest products like Bendigo Brittle, topped off with a polished concrete floor making Bowser Bean the perfect quick-stop spot.

“Our overhauled Strathfieldsaye location is another example of Bowser Bean pushing the boundaries of the traditional Petrol Station format to better service our customer,” Mr Tierney said.

“Be it busy workers, parents on the kids drop off/ pick up run or coffee connoisseurs looking to catch up over a delicious brew we can make your day a little bit better.”
