ACCLAIMED Fleetwood Mac tribute band Go Your Own Way is coming to Bendigo next month.
The band has just completed a sell-out run at London’s Adelphi Theatre.
Closely mirroring the Fleetwood Mac line-up, performers Sheena Beckett, Damon Downs, Allan Beckett, Greg Ison and Carley Lyons have been praised for their show’s authenticity.
Creative director Sheena Beckett is the lead vocalist and has been working professionally as a singer, dancer and actress since she was seven.
“Fleetwood Mac didn’t just write songs,” she said, “they wrote confessions.”
“That’s the heartbeat of this show.
“We’re not simply performing the hits, we’re guiding audiences through the stories and tension that shaped them.
“After the incredible response at the Adelphi, we’re thrilled to bring this production to Australia.”
Audiences can expect some of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest hits, including Dreams, The Chain, Don’t Stop, Everywhere, Rhiannon and Songbird, delivered in a world-class live concert experience.
“The songs don’t fit into one genre,” said Beckett.
“The style of music moves so much along with their line-up changes over the years.
“Their differences make them appeal to so many people and generations.
“I feel their music brings people together. I love that.”
Vocalist, guitar and banjo player Downs said walking out on to the stage at The Adelphi was a surreal moment.
“You could feel the energy of how hard we had all worked for that one moment,” he said.
Go Your Own Way will appear at Bendigo’s Ulumbarra Theatre on 17 June at 7pm.
