SYDNEY stand-up comedian Luke Heggie returns to View Street’s Engine Room Theatre tomorrow week to present his 14th solo show – I won’t say it again – not once, but twice.

Thanks to popular demand, the 2010 RAW Comedy winner has shuffled his schedule to include both a 6.30pm and 8.30pm performance.

Heggie describes the show as featuring “just one new joke”, with the remainder sourced from his “best bits” over the past five years.

“Frankly, it’s what most comics do anyway while slapping a fresh title on the poster,” he said.

“The difference is, I’m just telling you up front.

“If you’re the type who pays three figures to watch a band play songs from 20 years ago but gets upset when a comedian revisits material, this probably isn’t the show for you.”

Heggie is perhaps best known for his appearances on the ABC’s Question Everything, The Weekly, Comedy Next Gen and Comedy Up Late, plus the Just for Laughs Australia Gala and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Gala and Allstars Supershow.

He also co-hosts a podcast all about air rage incidents called Mid Flight Brawl alongside comedian Nick Cody.

Heggie has published two books over the past couple of years – If you must know (2024) and Your stupid, both of which feature transcripts from three of his past tours along with illustrations by his wife Emilie Protiere.

Heggie presents I won’t say it again on Saturday 6 June at the Engine Room, 58 View Street, at 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
