Vision Australia Bendigo is providing people impacted by vision impairment ongoing opportunities to live amazing lives

RECENTLY, one of Vision Australia’s home care package program clients, Alan, shared his enthusiasm for classic hot rod cars with others at the Bendigo Recreation Group.

Alan, who once owned a hot rod, regrettably had to part ways with his due to his vision loss.

Despite this, he has maintained strong connections with his fellow hot rod club members which has allowed him to continue his passion for the cars and maintain ongoing friendships with other enthusiasts.

Alan has joined one of the many Vision Australia recreation groups, and recently, in a beautiful display of inclusivity, his hot rod clubmates joined him at the Bendigo Vision Australia Men’s Recreation Program.

It was a chance for the whole mens groups to see and share in Alan’s passion with the group enjoying the chat and the rods.

This story is a testament to the exceptional work being done by the Bendigo Vision Australia Recreation Program, which consistently provides our remarkable clients with inclusive and enjoyable face-to-face activities.
