INTERNATIONAL chart-topping Byron Bay metal giants Parkway Drive have announced that their own curated travelling music festival will debut domestically next year across eleven locations, including the Bendigo Jockey Club on Sunday 1 March.
The lineup will include Parkway Drive themselves, Gympie’s The Amity Affliction (one of Australia’s most successful post-hardcore bands), Sydney’s Northlane, Grammy nominated Alpha Wolf (originally from Tasmania) and American post-hardcore/alternative rockers Story of the Year.
An event for over-16s, the festival will also feature circus performers, carnival rides, sideshow alleys and food stalls.
Parkway Drive’s vocalist Winston McCall said the vision for the festival is the biggest undertaking in the band’s history.
“A traveling festival run by the band, for the fans – it’s a massive deal for us, so we wanted to make it special,” he said.
“Not only is the line up stacked, for the first time on home soil we’ll be bringing the iconic and unstoppable The Amity Affliction.
“Parkway, Amity, Australia. It’s never been bigger.
“This is the full festival experience, a day to enjoy, connect and get wild. We can’t wait to see you there.”
VIP tickets to the event include an exclusive entry lane at the main entrance, access to a dedicated VIP area, a dedicated VIP bar with seating/shade, early entry to the Festival site to gain early access to merchandise, exclusive bathrooms and a Park Waves VIP Laminate.
The band made history earlier this year with a black-tie performance at the Sydney Opera House, with tickets selling out just three minutes after their release.
Tickets can be purchased via Oztix and are similarly set to run out well before the day.
