Party on with the John Grossman Project
Prolific local party band the John Grossman Project returns to the Golden Vine on Friday, December 20 for its eleventh annual Xmas Xtravaganza and audiences can expect the place to be bursting at the seams.
All the usual Aussie pub rock faves from Australian Crawl, The Angels and AC/DC et cetera will get a run on the night, with a few Christmas songs thrown in for good measure.
Co-founding band member Keith McQueen said the group is made up of “a bunch of guys who had played instruments for years” and didn’t really have a band happening in town, who were then encouraged by a few friends to get out and play live.
He said the whole Christmas show concept started with the idea of “having fun while we do it and making sure that people who come along have fun with us too”.
“We’ve got Santa coming who’ll do a good walk through the crowd, handing out lollies in the middle of the gig,” he said.
“If anyone wants to have a great night out and let off steam and get ready for Christmas, but still have enough time to recover from the hangover, this is the perfect night to get out and party with your friends.”
The John Grossman Project’s 11th Annual Christmas Xtravaganza takes place on Friday, December 20 from 9pm to 12.30am.
